Wild Love

No one wants the half-eaten fruit

Placed back on the shelf

To slowly wither and rot

Scars across my body

Like tattoos telling

Stories of trauma,

Grief

Yearning for wild love

Connecting

Eyes lock into eyes

Unspoken words

Touch speaking passion

Reciprocating desire

Melting into lost moments

Wanting to stop time

To stay forever

Wrapped in sweaty arms,

Moist lips,

Tangled in hearts beating in time

Untamed

Free

Wild love

Dancing with abandonment

Untold Story

‘There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.’

-          Maya Angelou

Spirit

In the darkest days

In the darkest nights

The spirit lives on

There are many roads we may not walk

Questions left whispered on sorry lips

Forever unanswered

As the sun sets

Birds call their mournful cry

Wild horses gallop

The spirit defiantly lives on

Tears will flow like muddy rivers

Hearts will ache unbearable ache

Beneath impenetrable grey skies

Sadness burnt on ancient mountains

A burning wound festers

In the darkest days

Through our darkest nights

The spirit courageously lives on

Forever scarred

The spirit

The wild storm

Balm to our wounds

Drenching thirsty land

Words fail

Memories swirl

Spirit dances in the wild winds

In the darkest days

Through the longest, darkest nights

A wild spirit gallops

With the wild horses

Forever roaming free

Big Magic

A warm, wild wind blew around them not stirring the large gum trees buried in the banks. It circled them, dancing at their feet, wrapping around them, pushing them forward, pushing them to the edge of the strong boulders that firmly sat beneath their tired feet. For a moment she wanted to retreat to the safety of the kingdom below but she took a deep breath, smelling the familiar scents of the bush, the smell of home. She felt the warmth of the hot harsh summer sun on her olive skin and as the wind blew and sun beat down on them, the Queen straightened her battered crown and her little Prince clung to his strong Mumma as they jumped. They propelled off the ledge into the wide-open expanse, feeling the spray from the powerful water rushing over the rocks beside them. They moved through the thick air with grace, like they had butterfly wings; inspiration and fear carrying them off the edge of the large rock face into the life-giving water of the big magic.

Leaping Soul

My soul leaps

Bursts, bounds

Filled with words

Creativity

Soul seeks connection

How did they take you?

Drifting, floating

Swirling out of this world

Into the next

Hot wind sweeping

Towards my loves

Too far to touch

Run for safety

Leave books, possessions

Behind to burn

Keep my babies safe

Where do you reside?

Floating amid clouds

Transported to another

Place and time

How my heart has settled

Since that cold July day

Embraced my craziness

The fruits of my insanity

When will the stars, moon align

Be at peace

With my leaping soul

No Apologies

The clouds danced

To the music of the universe

A song of divine meaning and rhythm

Teaching with heart

Protecting, blanketing the sun

The sun shone brighter

No apologies

Digging the trench

To make the water flow

Sun fighting its way through

Clouds of rain

Its beauty

Painting a rainbow

Golden and true

Life giving warmth

Soothing silence

No apologies

Grace

Feminine power

The moon shining in the darkness

Of night

Soaking in the rays

Of light

Power

Force

Sacred wisdom

No apologies

The wild woman dances

Like the clouds

She shines like the sun and moon

In daylight and darkness

Wild woman

Powerful

Making no apologies

Have even met

 I love you

before we have even met

feel your spirit

sparkle in your eye

lifetimes of love

reunited

time to come home

my love

magical spirit

I love you

before our eyes have even met

for the first time

when you are in my arms

we will know

 we are home

Leave Me Wild

I cursed her for bringing me there. The track was muddy and unforgiving, the shabby hut dilapidated and leaning to one side beneath the weig...
